1 tablespoon avocado oil
1 yellow onion, finely chopped
3 garlic cloves, minced
2 teaspoons chili powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
2 cans (15 ounces each) pinto beans, undrained
¼ cup tomato sauce
Sea salt
In a 4-quart pan, warm the avocado oil over medium-high heat. Add the onion and sauté for 5 minutes.
Add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds, then add the chili powder and cumin and cook for 30 seconds.
Stir in the beans and tomato sauce. Taste and add salt, if needed.
